Day 1

Arrival @ Madurai– Madurai Sightseeing

Madurai is the third largest city in Tamil Nadu and has a number of historical monuments, with the Meenakshi Amman Temple located on the banks of Vaigai River being the most prominent. The temple complex numerous sculpted pillared halls such as Ayirakkal (1,000 pillar hall), Kilikoondu-mandapam, Golu-mandapam and Pudu-mandapam. The Temple has been adjudged best ‘Swachh Iconic Place’ in India as on October 1 2017 under Prime Minister of India’s flagship Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.If your time permits Madurai Meenakshi temple, Tirupatankunram temple, Azhagar temple, Nayakkar Mahal.

Day 2

Transfer Madurai - Rameshwaram (170KM -4 Hour)

Upon arrival visit the famous Ramanathaswamy Temple, AbdhulKalam Muesium Ramanathaswamy temple, Agnitheertham, Ramjharoka temple, etc.

Day 3

Rameswaram - Dhanushkodi -Rameswaram

After breakfast, you can visit Dhanushkodi (Ram Setu) located approximately 15 KM from Rameshwaram.

Day 4

Transfer: Rameswaram -Kanyakumari ( 310km - 6 hrs )

Today, we shall proceed to Kanyakumari the southernmost point of mainland India. It is situated at the confluence of three oceans namely the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean ( Triveni Sangam) . Kanyakumari is the only place on earth where one can see both the sunrise and sunset from the ocean and it is the only place in India where the unique spectacle of sunset and moonrise on full moon days can be witnessed. On the way to Kanyakumari, you can visit Poovar island. Visit the famous Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda rock which is situated in the sea (accessible by boat), the statue of Thiruvalluvar on the rock, Gandhi Memorial, wax museum etc. Note: In case of late arrivals at Kanyakumari, you may schedule some sightseeing for the next day morning.

Day 5

Transfer: Kanyakumari -Trivandrum (80 KM -2 Hours)

Today morning, after breakfast, visit iconic spots which includes Napier Museum, Sri Chithira Art Gallery, Zoo, Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple and adjacent Palace etc. Post lunch depending upon time of your departure you may visit Poovar, a beach between the backwater and sea or alternatively relax at the beach. e. Note: Napier Museum, Zoo and the Srichitra Art Gallery are closed on Mondays. Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple opens at 3.30 in morning till noon and in the evening from 5 Pm to 7 PM. Timings are subject to change during festivals and other special occasions.

Day 6

Trivandrum Departure

Post breakfast, check out of your Hotel | Resort. Depending upon your flight / train time you shall be dropped at the airport / railway station.
